mgk and Wiz Khalifa’s ‘MPH’ video brings their collaborative mixtape ‘blog era boyz’ back into the motion of the road. Released on June 1, the clip is less a straight explainer for the song than a look at the pace surrounding the project.
Directed by Sam Cahill, the video does not lean only on performance shots. It moves through travel moments, backstage air, and onstage bursts, letting the title’s sense of speed come through without forcing it.
The track sits inside a nine-song project with production and writing credits connected to Sledgren, SlimXX, BazeXX, No Love For The Middle Child, and others. Within that frame, ‘MPH’ carries one of the more direct rap energies.
If ‘blog era boyz’ is partly about pulling an older internet-era feeling into the present tour cycle, ‘MPH’ is one of its clearest visual entries. The song lands better when the movement around it is part of the listen.
